Chris Tomlin messed up my blog plans.
I intended to share something else this morning, but it will have to wait…
As I finished eating breakfast with Caedmon, Jackson, and Andrew, I put in our newest Christmas CD, “Glory in the Highest” by Mr. Tomlin. (It is so good!). The 1st song is a beautiful, live version of “O Come All Ye Faithful” and the 2nd track is “Angels We Have Heard on High,” but with a guitar driven, rock feel. As the introductory guitar riff played Jackson exclaimed, “This one is my favorite!”
I got Caedmon out of his chair, all the boys got out their air guitars, and the dance party began! Me and three of my boys having a rockin’ Christmas morning to “Angels We Have Heard On High.” As soon as the song ended, Jackson hit the button to play it again, and again, and again. We spun till we were dizzy, jumped till we were out of breath, and sang along when it got to the “Glo-ooooo-ooooo-ooooo-ria” part. We were still in our pajamas, the Christmas tree lights were on, and we accidentally knocked the train off its track… and nobody minded a bit. I wish you could have been there.
The best part of the whole event was that we were all doing it together. Our boys love to dance and Cerebral Palsy isn’t stopping any of them.
I hope that you get some moments like that sometime very soon.
