Life Update

I have so much I want to write, but alas I also have other things to occupy my thoughts.

A good friend of ours won a nationwide contest and received a service dog for their son, who has autism. Keep an eye on Stinkerbabies for the post about it. It should be up any day now.

Caedmon began a second session of therasuit work. 5 hours a day, for 3 consecutive weeks. You should have seen what I witnessed on Wednesday. Oh wait, you will… as soon as I have the video posted. I think there will be an emotion or two associated with it.

I am very excited about the progress I’m making in my latest writing project! Every day this week I’ve been up in the 5:00 hour and put in some productive time. I’ve knocked out over 15,000 words this week and I really like how it’s coming. It’s not a project for everyone, but I sure hope those it’s intended for will savor it. I’ll write more about it later.
** This is the #1 reason I’ve not been posting. Writing is hard. 🙂 **

Bjeorn in the Chick-fil-a Bowl

I’ve been given an opportunity to write an article for “Unconquered” magazine! I get to write an 800 – 900 word article on one Bjeorn Werner, who just so happens to be one of my favorite players. The only things I know about him are that he’s from Berlin, he’s already married, and he can get after the quarterback. I’m excited to meet Mr. Verner (appropriate pronunciation)

The Journey will continue… eventually.

We are having a blast with Miracle Sports basketball! The boys are enjoying learning a new sport and I’m enjoying the challenge of learning to adapt a new sport. Lots of pictures here.

I’ve been asked by my sister-in-law and future brother-in-law to officiate their wedding! I’m so honored and so nervous (Thankfully, the wedding’s not till March). In case you don’t know, I think marriage is a big deal and I take it very, very seriously. Having the privilege of officiating weddings is one of the reasons I was drawn to vocational ministry. Now I get my first opportunity. I hope it goes better than this.

Finally, I saw this little video on youtube about autism and thought you might enjoy it. It’s a father having some fun and educating at the same time. “Surprise! You’re Child has Autism. Now What?”
